As we enter the summer of 2019, many of our patient families from across St. Johns County are helping their high school grads take the next step on a journey that began with a walk, a handshake, and a toss of the hat. It’s an exciting time for them, and their parents, as they move on to college, professional training, military service, or any other path they choose.
This week we want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and success of this year’s graduates, from here in St. Augustine to Ponte Vedra, Jacksonville, and throughout Northeast Florida. You’re off to do great work—we believe in you!
We also want to recognize the high school athletes who represented their high school for the last time this year. Some of them have come through our doors with sprains, bruises, and breaks—and we know first-hand how brave and focused these athletes are under pressure. Although they’re always eager to get back on the field (or court, or mat, etc.), they know that recovery is a team effort that takes hard work, commitment, and time.
There’s nothing like the determination on the face of a high school athlete walking out of our office after an initial treatment on crutches or wearing a sling. They have big dreams, goals, and intentions—and they’re bursting with energy to overcome every obstacle in their way. It’s inspiring.
Go St. Augustine High School Lady Yellow Jackets!
That’s part of the reason we have sponsored the St. Augustine High School Lady Yellow Jackets Lacrosse team four years running. We support their drive and passion for the sport, and of course we’re here to help them heal when they need it.
As the Class of 2019 seniors take on the next chapter of their lives, we’re excited to see this year’s juniors and sophomores step up to leadership roles on the team as incoming freshmen take the field for their first time in the 2019-2020 season. Go Lady Yellow Jackets!
Backing the Sebastian Middle School Football Team
Speaking of up-and-coming athletes, we’re proud to announce that we’ll be sponsoring the Sebastian Eagles this season. We’ll be backing these amazing 6th, 7th, and 8th graders as they begin their student athlete careers under the leadership of Head Coach Austin Lee.
Playing football at any level takes unmatched hard work and dedication. These young players exhibit incredible commitment and drive as team members. We can’t wait to see them bring home their first W of the 2019 season. Go Eagles!
Stay strong, athletes!
With summer getting into full swing, athletes of all ages and levels are getting out and enjoying the Florida sunshine. Whether an aspiring student athlete, a competing pro, or a fitness-focused amateur, we want you to stay strong and play safe. Summer is truly the season of hopes and dreams as final tryouts and first practices for fall sports get underway.
Stay strong this summer and remember that we’re here to help if you find yourself sidelined by injury. Our goal is to get you back on the field as soon as possible.
